A car company can move its factories to Mexico and claim it's a free market
A toy company can outsource to a Chinese subcontractor and claim it's a free market
A major bank can incorporate in Bermuda to avoid taxes and claim it's a free market
We can buy HP Printers made in Mexico. We can buy shirts made in Bangladesh
We can purchase almost anything we want from many different countries
BUT,
heaven help the elderly who dare to buy their prescription drugs from a
Canadian (Or Mexico) pharmacy. That's called un-American!
And you think the pharmaceutical companies don't have a powerful lobby?
Think again!
A new employee is hired at the Tickle Me Elmo factory and she
reports for her
first day promptly at 8:00 am. The next day at 8:45 am there is
a knock at the
Personnel Manager's door. The Foreman from the assembly line
throws open the
door and begins to rant about the new employee. He complains
that she is
incredibly slow and the whole line is backing up, putting the
entire plant
behind schedule. The Personnel Manager decides that he should
see this for
himself so the two men march down to the factory floor. When
they get there
the line is so backed up that there are Elmos all over the
floor and they're really
beginning to pile up. At the end of the line
stands the new employee. She has a roll of red plush fabric and
a big bag of
marbles. The men watch in amazement as she cuts a little piece
of fabric, wraps
it around two marbles and begins to sew the little package
between Elmo's legs.
The Personnel Manager bursts into laughter. After several
minutes of hysterics
he pulls himself together and approaches the woman. "I'm
sorry," he says to
her, (barely able to keep a straight face)" but I think you
misunderstood me
yesterday. Your job is to give each Elmo two test tickles."

There was a black comedian on Canadian TV
who said he misses Bill Clinton.
"Yep, that's right - I miss Bill Clinton!
"He was the closest thing we ever got to having a
black man as President.
"Number 1 - He played the sax.
"Number 2 - He smoked weed."
"and Number 3 - He messed with ugly white women.
"Even now - Look at him.....His wife works and he don't.
And he gets a check from the government every month."
WHAT WAS MY MOTHER THINKING?
How ever did we survive??? Life was sure different in days gone by.
My Mom used to cut chicken, chop eggs and spread
mayo on the same cutting board with the same knife and no bleach,
but we didn't seem to get food poisoning.
My Mom used to defrost hamburger on the counter
AND I used to eat it raw sometimes too, but I can't remember getting
E-coli.
Almost all of us would have rather gone swimming in the lake instead
of a pristine pool (talk about boring).
The term cell phone would have conjured up a phone in a jail cell, and
a pager was the school PA system.
We all took gym, not PE ... and risked permanent injury with a pair of
high top Ked's (only worn in gym) instead of having cross-training
athletic shoes with air cushion soles and Built in light reflectors. I
can't recall any injuries but they must have happened because they
tell us how much safer we are now.
Flunking gym was not an option ... even for stupid kids! I guess PE
must be much harder than gym.
Every year, someone taught the whole school a
lesson by running in the halls with leather soles on linoleum tile and
hitting the wet spot.
How much better off would we be today if we only knew we could have
sued the school system.
Speaking of school, we all said prayers and sang the national anthem
and staying in detention after school caught all sorts of negative
attention. We must have had horribly damaged psyches.
I can't understand it. Schools didn't offer 14 year olds an abortion
or condoms (we wouldn't have known what either was
anyway) but they did give us a couple of baby aspirin and cough syrup
if we started getting the sniffles. What an archaic health system we
had then. Rememberschool nurses? Ours wore a hat and everything.
I thought that I was supposed to accomplish something before I was allowed to be proud of myself.
I just can't recall how bored we were without computers, Play Station,
Nintendo, X-box or 270 digital cable stations.
I must be repressing that memory as I try to rationalize through the
denial of the dangers could have befallen us as we trekked off each
day about a mile down the road to some guy's vacant
20, built forts out of branches and pieces of plywood, made trails, and
fought over who got to be the Lone Ranger. What was that property owner
thinking, letting us play on that lot? He should have been locked up
for not putting up a fence around the property, complete with a
self-closing gate and an infrared intruder alarm.
Oh yeah ... and where was the Benadryl and sterilization kit when I
got that bee sting? I could have been killed!
We played king of the hill on piles of gravel left on vacant
construction sites and when we got hurt, Mom pulled out the 48 cent
bottle of Mercurochrome and then we got our butt spanked. Now it's a
trip to the emergency room, followed by a 10-day dose of a $49 bottle
of antibiotics and then Mom calls the attorney to sue the contractor for
leaving a horribly vicious pile of gravel where it was such a threat.
We didn't act up at the neighbor's house either because if we did, we
got our butt spanked (physical abuse) here too ... and then we got
butt spanked again when we got home.
Mom invited the door to door salesman inside for coffee, kids choked
down the dust from the gravel driveway while playing with Tonka trucks
(Remember why Tonka trucks were made tough...it wasn't so that they
could take the rough Berber in the family room), and Dad drove a car
with leaded gas.
Our music had to be left inside when we went out to play and I am sure
that I nearly exhausted my imagination a couple of times when we went
on two week vacations. I should probably sue the folks now for the danger
they put us in when we all slept in campgrounds in the family tent.
Summers were spent behind the push lawn mower and I didn't even know
that mowers came with motors until I was 13 and we got one without an
automatic blade-stop or an auto-drive.
How sick were my parents? Of course my parents weren't the only
psychos. I recall Donny Reynolds from next door coming over and doing his
tricks on the front stoop just before he fell off. Little did his Mom know
that she could have owned our house. Instead she picked him up and swatted him for being such a goof. It was a neighborhood run amuck.
To top it off, not a single person I knew had ever been told that they
were from a dysfunctional family. How could we possibly have known that?
We needed to get into group therapy and anger management classes? We
were obviously so duped by so many societal ills, that we didn't even notice that the entire country wasn't taking Prozac!

This is fascinating... While drinking a cosmopolitan, contemplate the following:
Vodka.. Who would have thunk it??
1. To remove a bandage painlessly, saturate the bandage with vodka.
The solvent dissolves the adhesive.
2. To clean the caulking around bathtubs and showers, fill a trigger-spray
bottle with vodka, spray the caulking, let set five minutes and wash
clean.
The alcohol in the vodka kills mold and mildew.
3. To clean your eyeglasses, simply wipe the lenses with a soft, clean cloth
dampened with vodka. The alcohol in the vodka cleans the glass and kills
germs.
4. Prolong the life of razors by filling a cup with vodka and letting your
safety
razor blade soak in the alcohol after shaving. The vodka disinfects the
blade
and prevents rusting.
5. Spray vodka on vomit stains, scrub with a brush, then blot dry.
6. Using a cotton ball, apply vodka to your face as an astringent to cleanse
the
skin and tighten pores.
7. Add a jigger of vodka to a 12-ounce bottle of shampoo. The alcohol
cleanses the scalp, removes toxins from hair, and stimulates the growth
of
healthy hair.
8. Fill a sixteen-ounce trigger-spray bottle and spray bees or wasps to kill
them.
9. Pour one-half cup vodka and one-half cup water in a Ziplock freezer bag,
and freeze for a slushy, refreshable ice pac for aches, pain, or black
eyes..
10. Fill a clean, used mayonnaise jar with freshly packed lavender flowers,
fill
the jar with vodka, seal the lid tightly and set in the sun for three
days. Strain
liquid through a coffee filter, then apply the tincture to aches and
pains.
11. Make your own mouthwash by mixing nine tablespoons powered cinnamon
with one cup vodka. Seal in an airtight container for two weeks.
Strain through
a coffee filter. Mix with warm water and rinse your mouth. Don't
swallow.
12. Using a q-tip, apply vodka to a cold sore to help it dry out.
13. If a blister opens, pour ! vodka over the raw skin as a local anesthetic
that also
disinfects the exposed dermis.
14. To treat dandruff, mix one cup vodka with two teaspoons crushed
rosemary,
let sit for two days, strain through a coffee filter and massage into
your scalp
and let dry.
15. To treat an earache put a few drops of vodka in your ear. Let set for a
few
minutes. Then drain. The vodka will kill the bacteria that is causing
pain in
your ear.
16. To relieve a fever, use a washcloth to rub vodka on your chest and back
as a liniment.
17. To cure foot odor, wash your feet with vodka.
18. Vodka will disinfect and alleviate a jellyfish sting.
19. Pour vodka over an area affected with poison ivy to remove the urushiol
oil
from your skin.
20. Swish a shot of vodka over an aching tooth. Allow your gums to absorb
some
of the alcohol to numb the pain.
AND
21. If all else fails, just turn the bottle up and drink it, nothing will
matter anymore anyway!

I have the solution for the prevention of hijackings, while at the
same time getting our airline industry back on its feet. Since men
of the Muslim religion are not allowed to look at naked women, we
should replace all of our female flight attendants with strippers.
Muslims would be afraid to get on the planes for fear of seeing a
naked woman, and of course, every businessman in this country would
start flying again in hope of seeing a naked woman.
We would have no more hijackings and the airline industry would have
record sales. Now why didn't Bush think of this? Why do I still
have to do everything myself?

An oldie but a goodie! I had to read the hold dam thing before I remember how she make out.
An elderly woman walked into the Bank of Canada one morning
with a purse full of money. She wanted to open a savings account and
insisted on talking to the president of the Bank because, she said, she
had a lot of money.
After many lengthy discussions (after all, the client is always right), an employee took the elderly woman to the president's office.
The president of the Bank asked her how much she wanted to
deposit. She paced her purse on his desk and replied, "$165,000". The
president was curious and asked her how she had been able to save so much
money.
The elderly woman replied that she made bets. The president
was surprised and asked, "What kind of bets?"
The elderly woman replied, "Well, I'll bet you $25,000 that
your testicles are square."
The president started to laugh and told the woman that it was
impossible to win a bet like that.
The woman never batted an eye. She just looked at the
president and said, "Would you like to take my bet?" "Certainly", replied the
president. "I bet you $25,000 that my testicles are not square."
"Done", the elderly woman answered. "But given the amount of
money involved, if you don't mind I would like to come back at 10 o'clock
tomorrow morning with my lawyer as a witness."
"No problem", said the president of the Bank confidently.
That night, the president became very nervous about the bet
and spent a long time in front of the mirror examining his testicles,
turning them this way and that, checking them over again and again until he
was positive that no one could consider his testicles as square and
reassuring himself that there was no way he could lose the bet.
The next morning at exactly 10 o'clock the elderly woman
arrived at the president's office with her lawyer and acknowledged the
$25,000 bet made the day before that the president's testicles were square.
The president confirmed that the bet was the same as the one made
the day before. Then the elderly woman asked him to drop his pants so
that she and her lawyer could see clearly. The president was happy to oblige.
The elderly woman came closer so she could see better and
asked the president if she could touch them. "Of course", said the
president. Given the amount of money involved, you should be 100% sure."
The elderly woman did so with a little smile.
suddenly the president noticed that the lawyer was banging his
head against the wall. He asked the elderly woman why he was doing
that and she replied,
"Oh, it's probably because I bet him, $125,000 that around 10 o'clock in the morning, I would be holding the balls of the President of the Bank of Canada!"

Changes in the Earth Animal Behavior
Animals are great teachers and leaders. When an animal behaves in an unusual way it is important for mankind to pay attention. Animals have lived on planet earth since the beginning of time and can see and feel things that people are unaware of.
Warning signs are available to help us prepare for the earth changes in a balanced and constructive way. There are many predictions about earth changes now flooding the airwaves. Although many of these prophecies are accurate there are many more that are not. Some of the most reliable prophets are those of the animal kingdom. A truck driver

out of his car and walks around to the truck driver, puts his hands
on his hips and says, "Got stuck, huh?" The truck driver says,
"No, I was delivering this bridge and ran out of gas."
Screwed again?
A car company can move its factories to Mexico and claim it's a free market.
A toy company can outsource to a Chinese subcontractor and claim it's a free market.
A major bank can incorporate in Bermuda to avoid taxes and claim it's a free market.
We can buy HP Printers made in Mexico. We can buy shirts made in Bangladesh and Mauritius.
Airlines and many other "service oriented industries" move their customer support departments to India and hire locally to save millions. If you have spoken to one of them you probably had a 40% increase in your blood pressure and did not get your problem resolved!
We can purchase almost anything we want from many different countries BUT, heaven help the elderly who dare to buy their prescription drugs from a Canadian (Or Mexico) pharmacy. That's called un-American!
And you think the pharmaceutical companies don't have a powerful lobby? Think again!

DID YOU KNOW? And now that you do, will it make a differance;
That America is a freedom of religion country and that in the early stages of building our country George Washington stated that "this is NOT a Christian nation, it is a freedom of religion nation"
If people would realise this we could have less bigotry and fewer people trying to push their beliefs as the only valid form of worship.
The founding fathers of America were all Masons. Washington DC is full of astrological symbols carved and implanted in most all of it's buildings. The very lay-out of the city is Masonic symbology.
As for the 10 Commandments posted on buildings and the carving of Moses, those are of Jewish origin, not Christian. Higher degree Masons are Kabbalists, that's where it comes from.

A Short Thought or feeling...
"The Danger of the SOUNDBITE" and the 30 min. news show"
Did you know that 52 of the 55 signers of the
Declaration of Independence were orthodox, deeply
committed Christians? The other three all believed in the
Bible as the divine truth, the God of scripture,
and His personal intervention.
It is the same Congress that formed the American
Bible Society. Immediately after creating the
Declaration of Independence, the Continental Congress
voted to purchase and import 20,000 copies of scripture
for the people of this nation.
Patrick Henry, who is called the firebrand of the
American Revolution, is still remembered for his
words, '"Give me liberty or give me death."' &! nbsp;
But in current textbooks the context of these words
is deleted. Here is what he actually said: '"An
appeal to arms and the God of hosts is all that is
left us. But we shall not fight our battle alone.
There is a just God that presides over the destinies
of nations. The battle, sir, is not to the strong
alone. Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be
purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid
it almighty God. I know not what course others may
take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me
death."'
These sentences have been erased from our
textbooks. Was Patrick Henry a Christian? The following
year, 1776, he wrote this: '"It cannot be emphasized
too strongly or too often that this great Nation was
founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not
on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
For that reason alone, people of other faiths have
been afforded freedom of worship here."'
Consider these words that Thomas Jefferson wrote on
the front of his well-worn Bible: '"I am a real
Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines
of Jesus. I have little doubt that our whole
country will soon be rallied to the unity of our Creator.
"' He was also the chairman of the American Bible
Society, which he considered his highest and most
important role.
On July 4, 1821, President Adams said, '"The
highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it
connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of
civil government with the principles of
Christianity."'
Calvin Coolidge, our 30th President of the United
States reaffirmed this truth when he wrote, '"The
foundations of our society and our government rest
so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would
be difficult to support them if faith in these
teachings would cease to be practically universal in
our country."'
In 1782, the United States Congress voted this
resolution: '"The Congress of the United States !
recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all
schools."'
William Holmes McGuffey is the author of the
McGuffey Reader, which was used for over 100 years in our
public schools with over 125 million copies sold
until it was stopped in 1963.
President Lincoln called him the '"Schoolmaster of
the Nation."' Listen to these words of Mr.
McGuffey: '"The Christian religion is the religion of our
country. From it are derived our notions on the
character of God, on the great moral Governor of the
universe. On its doctrines are founded the
peculiarities of our free institutions. From no source
has the author drawn more conspicuously than from the
sacred Scriptures. From all these extracts from the
Bible I make no apology."'
Of the first 108 universities founded in America,
106 were distinctly Christian, including the first,
Harvard University, chartered in 1636. In the
original Harvard Student Handbook, rule number 1 was
that: Students seeking entrance must know Latin and
Greek so that they could study the scriptures: '"Let
every student be plainly instructed and earnestly
pressed to consider well, the main end of his life
and studies is, to know God and Jesus Christ, which
is eternal life, John 17:3; and therefore to lay
Jesus Christ as the only foundation for our children
to follow the moral principles of the Ten
Commandments.'"
James Madison, the primary author of the
Constitution of the United States, said this: '"We have
staked the whole future of our new nation not upon the
power of government; far from it. We have staked the
future of all our political constitutions upon the
capacity of each of ourselves to govern ourselves
according to the moral principles of the Ten
Commandments."'
Today, we are asking God to bless America. But, how
can He bless a Nation that has departed so far from
Him? Prior to September 11, He was not welcome in
America. Most of what you read in this article! has
been erased from our textbooks. Revisionists have
rewritten history to remove the truth about our
country's Christian roots.

ON BEING A COWBOY
So what's wrong with being a cowboy? by Susie

One of the accusations aimed at President Bush by
his detractors is to
call him a "cowboy," as if this is some mark of
shame, implying
something sinister or simple-minded. I keep
wondering why. Have you
ever watched a rodeo?
They've started interviewing the contestants after
they compete, giving
the audience a little glimpse into the character of
these athletes,
something like the ones conducted preceding title
fights and following
basketball and football games.
They go something like this;
"Cody, you made a spectacular ride, which moves you
into first place.
How do you feel about your position as the number
one bull-rider in the
country?"
"Well, ma'am, (notice the use of a term of respect,
a vanishing social
custom among most Americans under the age of 30),
I've been real lucky.
I've drawn some good bulls and everything has
fallen into place for me
this year. Some of my competitors have had some
injuries and bad luck.
I just hope I can stay healthy."
Before his closest competitor comes out of the
chute, this cowboy then
climbs up on the fence and helps him tie on his
rigging. He gives that
same guy a high five at the side of the arena when
he's beaten by two
points on the ride he helped him prepare for.
How many times have you seen an arena full of rodeo
fans take to the
streets following a competition and set fire to
cars or hold an
impromptu riot because they felt dissatisfied with
the final outcome, as
Michigan State students recently did?
There is no booing of officials when scores are
announced. I've never
heard of a contested call by any competitor, even
when it meant the
difference between winning and losing.... Cowboys
don't whine.
Cowboys regularly loan each other equipment and
even horses, frequently
valued at $50,000 to $100,000 per animals, when a
fellow competitor's
ride didn't arrive in time for tonight's roping or
bulldogging or
whatever.
When 'The Star Spangled Banner' is played, to a man
and woman they rise
to their feet and put their hats over their hearts
in respect.
They don't wear T-shirts bearing offensive sexual
messages.
When a cowboy (or cowgirl) is injured, the rest
hold fund-raisers and
donate time and money to help him or her and their
families through a
rough financial time.
A lifetime achievement is the day when a contestant
reaches $1 million
in earnings. To reach that goal, he or she has
spent about 15 years
practicing and suffering dozens of injuries,
traveled hundreds of
thousands of miles from rodeo to rodeo, frequently
with their toughest
competition, who also happens to be their best
friend.
Headlines never seem to carry news of a
world-champion bull rider or
calf roper beating up his wife or being arrested
for molesting under-age
girls.
And they, too, have their groupies and some even
have failed marriages,
sad victims of the vagabond lifestyle necessary to
follow the rodeo
circuit.
They seem to know who their fathers are and most
often seem to be
married to the mothers of their children. They
thank their families for
their successes.
So, I have to ask: What's wrong with being
described as a "cowboy?"
It seems to me to be high praise in a world full of
folks with
questionable moral standards, technicolor hair,
bodies adorned with
rings and tattoos in startling locations and no
respect for anything of
value or worth.
It seems our "cowboy" president is in some pretty
good company. Better than he should get credit for.
Sure beats being a Frenchman thou. But then again I've know, though history, that that's just the way the French are.

Ok, back home again. Nice too. Now to get moved back in and do things like laundry and go shopping for food and get the smail-mail in house and done.
And I found a note from the midwest when I got home, thought I should share it...
Because of misunderstandings that frequently
develop when Easterners and
Californians cross "God's Country" such as

motor home's sewage tank by mistake. The owner of the vehicle declined to press
charges, saying that it was the best laugh he'd ever had.

KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. - A bald eagle soared into the sky Wednesday, a symbol of flight, as a poncho-clad crowd cheered the 100 th anniversary of man's first powered, heavier-than-air flight. But a heavy downpour scuttled plans to re-enact the flight 100 years to the minute after the seminal event.
I was up, as usually, but I was looking for all the TV cover of the "re-enactment" all over all the channels. They gave us the President's speech and that was it. I was there to 34 mins. after the hour. The pres was gone at something like 10 mins. after 7 and I couldn't find a thing by 34 after. We did get the Pres and his wonderful speach. It was raining. It's now one hour later and I don't know if they flow or not. But we did get THE SPEECH.
OK, around 2 hours late, with not enought wind there was a try at getting off the ground. And MSNBC did carry it. Oh! Did they get it in the air, part of it maybe. Well they try a 2 nd time? Maybe. I'll let ya know.

I was up, as usually, but I was looking for all the TV cover of the "re-enactment" all over all the channels. They gave us the President's speech and that was it. I was there to 34 mins. after the hour. The pres was gone at something like 10 mins. after 7 and I couldn't find a thing by 34 after. We did get the Pres and his wonderful speach. It was raining. It's now one hour later and I don't know if they flow or not. But we did get THE SPEECH.
OK, around 2 hours late, with not enought wind there was a try at getting off the ground. And MSNBC did carry it. Oh! Did they get it in the air, part of it maybe. Well they try a 2 nd time? Maybe. I'll let ya know.

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from
the other stall saying:
"Hi, how are you?" I'm not the type to start a
conversation in the men's
restroom
but I don't know what got into me, so I answered,
somewhat embarrassed,
"Doin' just fine!" And the other guy says: "So what
are you up to?" What
kind of question is that?
At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so
I say: "Uhhh, I'm like
you, just traveling!" At this
point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can
when I hear another
question.
"Can I come over?" Ok, this question! n is just too
weird for me but I
figured I could
just be polite and end the conversation. I tell
him, "No........I'm a little
busy right now!!!"
Then I hear the guy say nervously...
"Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an

keeps answering all my questions!!!"

NEW WORDS FOR 2004 - Essential additions for the

1.BLAMESTORMING: Sitting around in a group,
discussing why a deadline
was missed or a project failed, and who was
responsible.
2. SEAGULL MANAGER: A manager who flies in, makes
a lot of noise,
craps on everything, and then leaves.
3. ASSMOSIS: The process by which some people
seem to absorb success
and advancement by kissing up to the boss rather
than working hard.
4. SALMON DAY: The experience of spending an
entire day swimming
upstream only to get screwed and die in the end.
(Yep..know this

5. CUBE FARM: An office filled with cubicles.
6. PRAIRIE DOGGING: When someone yells or drops
